OCC has a staff of coastal engineers that are responsible for all aspects of the company’s design and analysis projects. Services include: determination of wind and wave forces in the waterfront environment, engineering designs for beach nourishment, coastal structures for shoreline stabilization and erosion control, port and harbor facilities, and marinas. State of the art computer and mathematical numerical modeling enables us to model offshore and coastal wave environments, sediment transport, and shoreline changes. ▪Shore protection structure analysis and design ▪Numerical modeling of wave transformation in coastal zone and in port and harbors ▪Wave forecasting/hindcasting ▪Wave force evaluation on piles and walls ▪Beach nourishment design and management ▪Sediment transport ▪Breakwater and revetment design ▪Coastal flooding - FEMA map revision ▪Wave and current data collection ▪In-situ wave and current modeling
Selected Accomplishments: ▪Powerful in-house wave modeling/monitoring capabilities. ▪Extensive knowledge of the difficult coastal regulatory environment. ▪OCC has obtained 10 FEMA Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) approvals over the past 3 years.
