OCC and its colleagues within COWI have design experience with the full range of offshore foundations, including monopiles, gravity based structures, offshore jackets, suction pile foundations, driven piles and hybrid foundations consisting of elements from multiple foundation types. 

OCC uses state-of-the-art design tools, including COWI’s in-house finite element modeling program, IBDAS, for structural analysis and verification of structures against applicable codes. 

During feasibility and concept design phases, OCC pays special attention to recommend foundation types that can take advantage of local labor and materials which can help reduce the cost of construction and build public support for the project.
