Navigation and channel design

The navigable access infrastructure of ports and harbors are its navigation channels.  In many locations dredged deep draft channels exceed natural water depths and have disrupted natural sedimentation patterns.

The design of efficient and cost effective channels requires a balance between maintaining safe navigation and future dredging requirements and their costs.  The trend in shipping for ever increasing vessel draft and beam are placing demands on many of the relationships especially at depth limited facilities.

OCC is providing all aspects of navigation and berthing design
OCC has provided consultancy for public and private port and terminal clients seeking to undertake expansion to meet newer vessel designs.  As the Panama Canal improvements near completion the range of new designs is escalating along the Gulf and Atlantic seaboard and OCC is providing all aspects of navigation and berthing design improvements needed to meet the challenges of providing desirable port facilities including channel depth modifications.
