The SBEACH (Storm-induced BEAch CHange) is  a numerical simulation model which was developed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), formerly the Waterways Experiment Station (WES). SBEACH simulates cross-shore beach, berm, and dune erosion produced by storm waves and varying water levels.

OCC utilizes SBEACH, where appropriate, to estimate the risk associated with beach and dune erosion during various storms and water levels at areas which are susceptible to this climate. SBEACH assists in risk analysis and planning for the best, cost-effective design for protection and budget planning for beach nourishment projects.
