In Situ data collection of waves, tides and currents

Summarized, historical data that is often used in preliminary designs can be inadequate for optimizing final designs or for understanding complex coastal environments.  In many cases, the data that is used to characterize the wave climate, tidal regime and currents is not available, or is not at the required resolution to drive numerical models.  In those cases, OCC will collect the necessary data through us of the appropriate in-situ sampling tools including ADCPs, S-4s, streamer traps and other sediment movement tracking devices.
