OCC performs a wide variety of destructive and non-destructive (NDT) testing methods on marine structures.

This includes:

  • Ultrasonic thickness measurement of steel.
  • Half-cell chloride potential for risk of corrosion in concrete.
  • Acid-soluble chloride content measurement to determine the extent of chloride penetration at the reinforcing steel.
  • Petrographic and mechanical analysis including compressive strength.
  • Modulus of elasticity and splitting tensile strength.

OCC frequently uses hydraulic core drilling equipment to extract samples from concrete structures.
