OCC has a staff of ten (10) Professional Engineer–Divers and seventeen (17) Engineer-Divers to provide our clients with comprehensive condition evaluations of underwater structures. Our Engineer-Divers are able to evaluate the structural significance of observed damage and can make on-site assessments of structure conditions.
An Engineering firm with divers
Having Engineers in the water, doing the inspection, is the most appropriate method for getting an accurate assessment of the structure’s condition and providing effective maintenance and repair strategies.
All Underwater Services are performed in accordance with OSHA and USCG requirements as well as Association of Diving Contractors International (ADC) recommendations. Effectively, all of OCC's diving is performed using surface-supplied diving equipment. We have the equipment and vehicles to field 4 complete diving teams.
The OCC staff members are heavily involved in the engineer-diver professional community having participated on the committee for the development of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) “Underwater Investigations: Standard Practice Manual”. In addition, we are heavily involved in the current ASCE COPRI committee on developing diving training standards for underwater investigation work.
