OCC's Past and Current Presidents are Appointed as U.S. Representatives of the World Association for Waterborne Transportation Infrastructure (PIANC)

OCC is proud to announce the appointment of its past President Stanley M. White, P.E. and current President John E. Chapman, P.E. as U.S. Representatives to the World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure (PIANC).

Stanley White

Stan was appointed as the U.S. Principal Representative to the Maritime Commission (MarCom) Working Group 159, "Renewable Energy for Maritime Ports". "It is an extreme honor to be representing the United States and be appointed the Principal Representative for the PIANC MarCom Working Group 159, "Renewable Energy for Maritime Ports," states Mr. White, " This working group has the aim of producing guidance and advice for port planners related to renewable energy offshore development.  Ocean and Coastal Consultants is an industry leader in North America for the design and development of port facilities and have prepared a number of supply chain studies associated with offshore wind supply chain issues."

 

John Chapman

John was appointed as the U.S. Alternative Representative to the Maritime Commission (MarCom) Working Group 164, "Upgrade of Ports Terminals by Increasing Dredged Depth." The expansion of the Panama Canal and the ever increasing size of modern ships require deeper berths at terminals in order to remain competitive. "OCC is an industry leader in assisting waterfront structures with their harbor deepening needs. I am extremely proud to not only represent the PIANC MarCom Working Group, but to also represent such a fine Engineering firm such as OCC." affirms, Mr. Chapman.
